The Hook Rest in Billiard Wholesale Directory

 

The Hook Rest is the result of lateral thinking on the part of the inventor, Mr. Roy Barry, who is of course, is an avid player of snooker and pool. The idea of the Hook Rest suddenly occurred to Roy when he had to take a difficult shot in a championship game. He developed the Hook Rest on the premise of going around the ball as well as the traditional method of going over the ball for a difficult or obstructed shot. The curve at the head of the shaft can be easily rotated 180 degrees to allow the player to go around or over obstacle balls. This built in flexibility will give the player a closer shot at the white ball thereby eliminating the need to take high angled shots which reduces control over the tracking. We developed the prototype and brought it to some professional players to try it out. All of the players instantly saw the potential of the Hook Rest and immediately ordered one to begin practicing with it. Currently the top ten snooker players in the World are busy practicing with it and the Hook Rest will be introduced in the World Championships in 2004. We hope to have the Hook Rest introduced into the American Nine Ball Pool tournaments quite soon, so watch this site for updated information.
