Pegasus Pool was launched in 1995 at a club called Witches Inn with only 16 players and no sponsors. In 1999 it has grown country wide and aquired the following sponsors:, Faxe lager (Danish breweries) who have put up a prize of R250000.00 for anyone that can pot the black ball off the break, plus they have sponsored specially made Zippo lighters and waistcoats, Union Billiards who supply the pool tables at the Carousel finals, plus Union Billiards also sponsor a pool table as a prize to the top player in the league as well as a pool table to the top lady in the year 2000. Line up is a cue supplier who sponsors specially made cues as prizes to players in various categories plus the prestigious Diamond Cue to the overall winner. the Diamond cue is a cue which is imported from Master cue makers in England and then has a genuine diamond mounted into the handle of the cue. There are only 4 (four) of these cues in the world and are revered as collectors items.
