CalvinPool is a game for two or more players, best with three to five. It combines a love of humor, especially from movies and Monty Python, with the essential human need to look and feel silly. It uses an equipment list that starts with a basic pool (billiards) set and expands in bizarre, unfathomable directions. It emphasizes memory powers, creativity, and coordination. It is recommended for people ages 10 to 60, because younger people would have difficulty getting all the jokes and older people would not want to get all the jokes. It can be played by people of both sexes, although players are referred to as male throughout the Hymnal because (1) the original designers were all male and (2) the rules are confusing enough without adding a lot of he and/or she language. It is a fun way to waste an afternoon.
